Once again, Agatha Christie proves that she is the greatest mystery writer of all time with "Five Little Pigs", one of her most ingenious books. The premise is interesting and was so good, Christie basically reused it for "Elephants Can Remember". One of the best stories in Batman's long history, "Batman: The Long Halloween" features a great story line and the depiction of Harvey Dent's fall from grace is one of the best parts of this story! The artwork is also good and I loved the cover art for each issue. This a must-read for all Batman fans and is especially worth reading because of the inspiration this story gave for "The Dark Knight", one of the greatest movies of all time. One of the best stories in Batman's long history, "Batman: The Long Halloween" features a great story line and the depiction of Harvey Dent's fall from grace is one of the best parts of this story! "Batman: Noel" is an interesting story with a twist on the premise of "A Christmas Carol" with great moments that help make the graphic novel a decent read for fans. "Lord Edgware Dies" is an entertaining novel with an interesting premise. However, most of the characters aren't that interesting and though the identity of the killer still surprises, it's kind of underwhelming. "Ordeal By Innocence" is a decent Agatha Christie novel with enough interesting characters and a good twist finale to make it worth reading. The more psychological themes are good, but the story kind of felt humorless and sometimes the story drags. Overall, the book is pretty good considering it came late during Christie's career, which had some pretty lame books during that time. This movie sucked! Despite the strong reviews from critics and the 95% rating in Rotten Tomatoes (The original has a 93%), the film was really unnecessary and was worse than both "Rocky IV" AND "Rocky V", and that means it was pretty bad. The cast was bland and Stallone was nominated "Best Supporting Actor" even though his performance was okay at best and that his performance in "Rocky Balboa" was more deserving. This was probably not even supposed to be part of the same franchise, but MGM probably made it a Rocky film just to make sure it made money. Please do not watch this garbage, like all of the other films in the franchise, "Creed" is a repeat of the same old story except this time, it lacks the cheesy, but entertaining moments of it's predecessor. This movie sucked! "Elephants Can Remember" is a decent, but predictable thriller and Christie has lost some of her sharp writing and surprises that her books used to have. "Peril At End House was surprisingly a great reading experience for me and it is now one of my favourite Agatha Christie novels. The plot and characters are interesting and as usual, Poirot and Hastings continue their typical banter during the investigation. I think Christie's use of fireworks to conceal the noise of gunshots was pretty ingenious. I actually guessed the identity of the killer half way through the book, but it was still surprising when the identity and motive was revealed. "Peril At End House" is a great book and I strongly recommend this for both newcomers and Christie fans."Peril At End House was surprisingly a great reading experience for me and it is now one of my favourite Agatha Christie novels. "Dumb Witness" is a fairly decent Agatha Christie novel with several humorous scenes. The plot is interesting, though the identity of the killer lacks the impact of other novels. The moments between Hastings and Bob are funny and it's a shame that Hastings wouldn't appear again until the final Poirot book, since he was such a great narrator. Though "Goldeneye" is frequently considered to be one of the best Bond films ever, it doesn't even make it into my Top 10. I think the only reason why the film is well regarded is because it was the first Bond film seen by an entire generation, and because of the highly popular video game. The movie is boring and too reliant on the Bond formula. I think the producers tried too hard to make people like it and the result is a slightly more serious Roger Moore film. Also, the musical score is terrible and is the worst in the whole franchise. The only positive aspects of this overrated film are the cast and the fantastic theme song by Tina Turner. Pierce Brosnan was a great Bond. But this is one of the worst Bond movies ever made.Though "Goldeneye" is frequently considered to be one of the best Bond films ever, it doesn't even make it into my Top 10. "Licence To Kill" is one of the best Bond films, and the most underrated. It's a shame that Timothy Dalton didn't make another film after this since his portrayal was the closest to the literary Bond. The film is actually better than all the Roger Moore AND Pierce Brosnan films. This is mainly because of it's emphasis on plot (Were the Moore films as original as this?) and it's darker and realistic tone (Remember the invisible car?). Overall, this is a great Bond flick and is in my top ten list of best Bond flicks, above the overrated bore that is Goldeneye. "Sad Cypress" is a great Agatha Christie novel with an interesting premise. The characters are likeable and the build-up to the crime is great. Afterwards, Poirot does his regular investigating and continues his trend of keeping important facts to himself. The denouement is also interesting because the solution is revealed through witnesses testifying during court and Poirot later reveals how he solved the crime first. This is a fairly decent introduction to everyone's favourite Belgian detective, Hercule Poirot. All the elements are already set in place. A dysfunctional family, death of of the leader of the household, and Poirot, who just happens to be there at the right moment. Hastings is an entertaining narrator and it's fun to watch Poirot use his little "grey cells" to solve the case. This is one of my favourite Agathe Christie novels. Her masterpiece tells of ten people who have all killed being stalked by a killer. The tone is dark and bleak throughout the story, and the Ten Little Soldiers nursery rhyme is chilling when used as an analogy to the deaths of each person. The twist is super shocking and the ending ends off on a depressing note. A must read for all Christie fans. This is one of my favourite Agathe Christie novels. What starts out as an entertaining love story between the narrator and the love of his life ends off with a devastating murder and shocking reveal. Endless Night entertains straight from the start, though the murder takes place late in the story. However, the story is kind of lessened due to the fact that it recycles plot elements and twists from my two favourite Agathe Christie books: "The Murder Of Roger Ackroyd" and "Death On The Nile".
