Amphigorey Too is a collection of Edward Gorey's stories. His writing is amusing, quirky and dark - the characters often die. The stories are quite short - often about 20 sentences - and are accompanied by his incredible drawings. His best known work is probably the Gashleycrumb Tinies, which is not featured in this collection (recall: A is for Amy who fell down the stairs, B is for... etc.). Of interest in this collection is The Chinese Obelisks which is presented in two forms - polished and unpolished. The reader is able to see how Gorey develops his drawings.
