As he grows up, he is drawn to the piano and discovers he has an amazing gift for creating music. His reputation spreads, but he refuses to leave the ship. Only when he spots a beautiful girl on board does he try to join the outside world and live a normal life.

A very sweet story, but overly saccharine. The cookie-cutter/formulaic premise was quite romantic, but laid on a bit thick. Maybe it was Ennio Morricone's gooey score; maybe it was the resident prodigy orphan (who realistically should've/would've been booted off the ship) turned superstar; maybe it was Max's starry-eyed "love" for the dude... Maybe I'm being harsh. It was sweet.
