Vernard "Get" McGetty is back from serving in Afghanistan, back dealing drugs in Detroit, and looking to move up with his buddy J.T., a guy he met in Kandahar who also happens to be the leader of the Saints of Hell-- a notorious Ontario biker gang currently in the process of taking over all north-of-the-border drug traffic. Meanwhile, Toronto detectives Price and McKeon are getting nowhere on their investigation.--From publisher description.

Only read about 30 pages. Poor character development, erratic plot, excessive references to Toronto details make it sound very immature.

This seems to be the US edition of McFetridge's book "Swap" (as it was named in Canada). Same book, different titles.

Good, solid Canadian crime writing from John McFetridge-- the sequel to Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere. Toronto noir! I really enjoyed it, although I would characterize it as less a mystery and more a thriller ABOUT a mystery (if you know what I mean). Fun stuff though.
