Miss Marple isn't the best character, but the book's great, anyway.

No-one gives a crap if you guessed the culprit!

Very intriguing book! Like always, I did not expect that the culprit was in plain sight!

Exactly what you would expect. A clever, fun and fast read.

I guessed the killer in this one, but was nevertheless left in a crazy amount of suspense, desperately reading through to see if I was right! One of my favorite Miss Marple mysteries (the others being "Sleeping Murder" and "4:50 from Paddington").

A must read for all Christie fans! "A Murder Is Announced" is an entertaining novel with many shocking twists. The premise is interesting and perhaps the killer could have gotten away with such a perfect crime if it weren't for the ingenuity of elderly spinster Jane Marple.

Another book of the hundreds of successful Agatha Christie books! It is interesting but it wasn't magical like her other books that I used to read, although it has a beautiful new idea - a murder in the newspaper - sounds interesting haa? But even the characters weren't that charming - not in their personality nor in their conversation. Usually Agatha Christie gives us a lot of suspects. In this novel there are maybe 2 or 3 people that we may think are the killers and guess who solved a part of the crime? I did!! I guessed who was the killer from the beginning and I am very proud because I am good at solving crimes and mysteries now and who knows? Maybe I will end up being a detective! I give this book 6.5/10

This book is very good! It is a little unrealistic, but still has a good plot.

Agatha Christie is a master of ambiance. Reading one of her mysteries is like being transported back in time. Miss Marple, a cunning old lady with a nose for trouble and a shrewd judge of character, reads about an ad in the local paper where a murder is announced. She goes to unravel what the mystery is all about. Miss Marple is one of Agatha Christie's standard detectives. The books are not too long and they keep you interested all the way through.
