Clay has lived his whole life under the mountain. The MudWing dragonet knows war is raging between the dragon tribes in the world outside--a war that he and four other dragonets are destined to end, according to the mysterious prophecy they have been taught. The five "chosen" dragonets were stolen from their homes while they were still in their eggs--and hidden away for years--all to fulfill the prophecy. But not every dragonet wants a destiny. And when danger threatens one of their own, Clay and his friends may choose freedom over fate...leave the mountain...and set the dragon world on a course that no one could have predicted.

This book is so bad, it is the worst one in the series. But luckily my friend loves these books so I decided to read more, and I LOVE THEM!

Best book series ever!
Also, many people think the series ends at book 8. As a matter of fact, there are currently 13 books, the 14th is being worked on!

As you've probably noticed, I reserve five stars for books I really really really love. The wings of fire series by Tui T Sutherland is just that. One of my favorite book series' ever, it inspired and taught me. The graphic novel versions of the first three books are also great, and they help the series appeal to younger kids.
This series takes on a dragon perspective, giving us a new side to the typical dragon slaying fantasy idea. The war in the dragon world at the beginning of the series was caused by a human slaying a highly important dragon!
As the series goes on, it shows us more and more about the dragon world. Each book has a new perspective, giving you a view of the world from a new type of dragon. There's also a special edition that brings us back to the perspective of humans!
This series is absolutely amazing. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I have!

Frightening or Intense Scenes: This series may seem fluffy, but don't let that fool you. There are some dark themes and scenes that get devolved throughout the series. Not recommended for anyone under the age of 12.

Clay and his friends (Tsunami, Glory, Starflight and Sunny) have been trapped under a mountain for the whole six years of their life so far. Tsunami is desperate to get out and see the world for real, but Clay doesn't think they're ready. But, as always, Tsunami is very convincing and convinces the others to make a plan. Just as Clay and Tsunami finally escape and are going back to help their friends out, they come face-to-face with the evil SkyWing queen, Queen Scarlet. They escape, but she follows their smoke signal and captures them all. Her soldiers take them back to the SkyWing palace and the queen forces them to fight the other prisoners. It's kill or die. Finally, with Glory's RainWing venom, they distract Queen Scarlet and escape. But will they escape to another safe place...or be prisoners once again? Read this book to find out!

Do you like books with dragons, prophecies, and war? If you do this book is for you. I highly recommended it.

The seven dragon tribes have been in war for years. There is a prophecy that says five dragonets will come and chose a new SandWing queen (Blister, Blaze or Burn) since the death of the sisters’ mother, Queen Oasis. The dragonets have been hidden in a cave for their whole life’s’ and are supposed to come out and save the world at the 20th year of the war.

Tsunami (the SeaWing dragonet) thinks the dragonets should escape from there guardian and save the world sooner and find their family.

Clay (the MudWing dragonet) is not so sure about leaving the cave and guardian. Dragons in Pyrrhia would love to get their claws on the dragonets and kill them to ruin the prophecy.

Will Clay chose to follow the prophecy and wait two more long years or make this own destiny?

Join this claw fighting adventure with Clay and the rest of the dragonets! This series has five more books. Keep an eye out for “The lost Heir”
If you like this book you may also like “Warriors”. Tui T. Sutherland (the author of Wings of Fire) is one of the six authors of the “Warriors” series.

I hope you enjoy this book!

The dragonets are coming, they're coming to save the day. They're here to fight, they know what's right, the dragonets hooray!

the dragonets of the prophecy have lived in a cave their whole lives, never experiencing the outside world. Apart from a few objects their guardians bring back they don't even know what it looks like! One day Clay, Glory, Tsunami, Sunny and Starflight decide to escape. Little do they know that this one decision will change their lives forever.

Follow clay as he escapes from his cave, runs in to the queen of the sky wings and even meets a dragon with burning scales!

Gladiator fights were never so good!
