Who doesn’t have a story of how they either first heard of the music of Jackson Brown or how they returned to it. Most first heard him on the radio through the 1970s and the 1980s, his peak commercial period. Others were first fans of the Eagles who discovered in the fine print notes that "Take It Easy" was written by Glenn Frey and this fellow named Jackson Browne. Other listeners, especially among my generation, first heard of him in the 1994 film [Forrest Gump], as the titular hero ran across America because he “just felt like running” to "Running on Empty." Oh yeah, my local Value Village plays "Lawyers in Love" over their PA system every other time I'm there hunting for vintage treasures. Here, collected on this two-disc album upon his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, are 32 songs by one of America's great living songsmiths, and a subversive one at that, Jackson Browne. Choice Super Cuts: “Running on Empty,” “Tender Is the Night,” “Lawyers in Love,” “Lawless Avenues,” “Somebody’s Baby,” “Doctor My Eyes,” “Rock Me on the Water,” and “Jamaica Say You Will.” Similar Artists: Bob Seger, Bruce Cockburn, Bruce Springsteen, and John Cougar Mellencamp.

Add my voice to the many praises of one of America's best songwriter and singers ever! Jackson Brown lyrics are some of the best you'll ever hear. Thank you Jackson!!

Redneck Friend....I was introduced to Jackson Browne in 1974 and " Redneck Friend " was the first tune I had heard and I thought he Rocked. As I became to know Jackson Browne I found in his Sad Ballad's there is a sort of Strength in the concepts he was professing like " Late For The Sky " and the album cover with that "Pink Floyd'ish" Skyline and coming from Los Angeles, In the Summer, the evening look's just like that as the Sun slowly bend's around and cover's the entire horizon as the Pacific Ocean act's like a reflective enhancer to the fading Sun Light, and very late for the Sky.........
