The Complete Second Series

A hilarious, biting look at everyday office life. In series two, Swindon have merged with Slough and Manager David Brent has to assimilate the new intake, a group of well-trained and motivated personnel. It should be an easy job, but sadly no one informed the staff that good looks, popularity, and humor are reserved only for the Boss.

This show is simply the best. The cast is perfect. The humor may not be for everyone, but I love it. I've watched the series numerous times (there are only 12 half-hour episodes over two seasons, plus the finale special), and I still thoroughly enjoy it. For me, the American version never measured up to the brilliance of this original series. Sidebar: I recently watched Netflix's David Brent: Life on the Road movie; I do not consider it to be part of The Office series (Ricky Gervais is the only actor from the original cast to appear in the movie), nor do I recommend watching it.

If you haven't seen either version of The Office, I suggest watching the brittish version (this version) first. It is every bit as funny as the american version. The comic timing is incredible, and it is extremely well written. Very funny stuff.

Hard to watch without cringing. This guy is so obnoxiously unselfaware. You can see hes heading for a hell of a fall.

Funny, truthful and touching.
