Somewhat over simple description of the scientific discoveries of the physiology of memory, with examples of extraordinary autobiographical memory (but no other types are mentioned) and extraordinary defects of memory (the notorious case of HD, made that way by medical malpractice (surgeons not knowing what they were doing), for which neither he, nor his estate were ever compensated), overcoming memories related to fear, and even implanting "memories" by "therapists".
