This is a fairly quick read with a unique and amusing plot. It played like a dry comedic, indie film in my head as I read it. It's appropriate for teens but would even be enjoyable for adults. I think it would appeal to readers who are interested in coming-of-age type stories, or stories with dysfunctional family relationships and mild drama.

This story is told through the perspective of 12-year-old Wolf, who is being dragged along on a family road trip with his three sisters and bee-obsessed parents, instead of enjoying his summer with his friends. Wolf's parents are passionate about the preservation of bees and spreading the awareness of their impending extinction and subsequent "end of the world" scenario. As the trip begins, problems arise, relationships are strained, and Wolf struggles with getting his parents to see how their preoccupation with saving the bees is effecting their own kids and creating major dysfunction within the family.
