Set adrift when her mother sells the salon that has been a neighborhood institution for decades, Nora Rolvaag takes a camping trip, intending to do nothing more than roast marshmallows over an open fire under a starry sky. Two chance encounters, however, will have enormous consequences, and her getaway turns out to be more of a retreat from her daily life than she ever imagined.

Nora goes on a simple camping trip that turns out to be a journey to the past, the present, and perhaps even the future.

Seemed trite and predictable.

This is a wonderful book, with rich characters that drew me in and had me pulling for them to succeed. I've read Lorna's books before, and love them all, but am especially happy to be reintroduced to the people and stories of Patty Jane's House of Curl. I wholeheartedly recommend this book
