An unforgettable coming of age novel for fans of 13 Reasons Why, It's Kind of a Funny Story, and The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

Fifteen-year-old Jeff wakes up on New Year's Day to find himself in the hospital--specifically, in the psychiatric ward. Despite the bandages on his wrists, he's positive this is all some huge mistake. Jeff is perfectly fine, perfectly normal; not like the other kids in the hospital with him. But over the course of the next forty-five days, Jeff begins to understand why he ended up here--and realizes he has more in common with the other kids than he thought.

"With a sprinkling of dark humor and a full measure of humanness, Suicide Notes is quirky, surprising, and a riveting read." --Ellen Hopkins, author of The You I've Never Known and Love Lies Beneath

"Like the very best teen novels, Suicide Notes is both classic and edgy, timeless and provocative." --Brent Hartinger, author of Geography Club

"Jeff's wit and self-discovery are refreshing, poignant, and, at times, laugh-out-loud funny." --School Library Journal

"Makes a powerful emotional impact." --Publishers Weekly (starred review)

This book is great. It really touches the heart and it was a big plot twister with jeffs homosexuality

Amazing book. I thought it could've delved a little more into Jeff's homosexuality, but overall it was great!

I really liked this book. I wasn't excepting Jeff to be gay. But other then that, this book was amazing.

I'm sorry, but I absolutely HATED this book. Because of the awfulness of it, I could go no further then the first 50 pages. Between those pages, all the character would do was mope and complain. Just reading it myself made me bored to tears and depressed. I would NOT recommend this book to anyone due to the terrible plot.

I thought this book was pretty good. The subtle ways the author speaks to teenagers about why they shouldn't harm themselves and to love who they are as is was quite nice. Overall, it's well worth the read. The book is intended for the teenage audience, but could easily be read by any adult.

Loved this novel!
I couldn't put it down even for a second.
Going into the field of child and youth mental psychology, I found this book very well written as it allows you to see the actual youth's perspective.
