A lot of this book is historical background. A much better recent
book is "Drain the Swamp" by Congressman Ken Buck. I skipped
most of the historical stuff and went to chapter 13. When Eric
Bolling stated that President Thomas Jefferson was the father
of several of slave Sally Hemings kids, I just about stopped
reading any further. From all I've read and heard, A Jefferson
was probably Sally Hemings lover, but it was never proven
that it was Thomas Jefferson. If you want to really learn about
what the swamp is like and how to drain it, I would recommend
Ken Bucks book and "The Liberty Amendments" by Mark Levin.

Suggest one reads the book, Survival of the Richest, by Donald Jeffries, instead.
Also, to even begin to grasp Real News, and Reality, try reading David Dayen's incredible book, Chain of Title, which explains that those bankers [whom President Obama repeatedly claimed broke no laws] in actuality did everything illegally.
Along with that I would strongly recommend, The Case for the Corporate Death Penalty, by Mary Kreiner Ramirez, which bolsters Mr. Dayen's book in a most remarkable manner!
[Historical Note: Draining the swamp was first used in American politics by the old governor of Florida, Napoleon Broward, except I suspect he was referring to a real swamp back then.]
