Long but not difficult to follow. The story centers around a mother and her five daughters who leave the nest each for their own reasons and path to follow. As each daughter comes of age whims, passions, and innate talent directs them to a new place and relationships. Only females seem to survive in this novel and if the reader sticks it out he/she will find out where each daughter will land.
