Determined to end a generations-long war among the seven dragon tribes, a secret movement called the Talons of Peace draws on a prophecy that calls for a great sacrifice, compelling five appointed dragonets to fulfill a painful destiny against their will.
Not every dragonet wants a destiny-- Clay has grown up under the mountain, chosen along with four other dragonets to fulfill a mysterious prophecy and end the war between the dragon tribes of Pyrrhia. He's not so sure about the prophecy part, but Clay can't imagine not living with the other dragonets; they're his best friends. So when one of the dragonets is threatened, all five spring into action. Together, they will choose freedom over fate, leave the mountain, and fulfill their destiny -- on their own terms. The New York Times bestselling Wings of Fire series takes flight in this first graphic novel edition, adapted by the author with art by Mike Holmes. -- Provided by publisher.

The discription said : Clay and the other four MudWings dragonets where stolen from there homes and so on

BUT IT WASNT FOUR MUDWINGS DRAGONETS IT WAS FOUR DIFFERENT TYPES OF WINGS ( Glory: Rainwing,
Tsuami: Seawing Sunny: Sandwing, Starflight: Nightwing
Im only adding this comment because I want them to change the MUDWINGS part to different types of wings

Reading the graphic novel was cool, its like Watching a movie after a book. But certain detail passed by easily, and i could count several mistakes in the art, so i would recommend reading the novel first, as it portrayed the story better. But im just being picky, overall, I definitely enjoyed it!

It's ok but... It leaves out a lot of stuff. The drawings aren't that great, and it can be a little confusing. But like I said, it's ok. Just would prefer the actual chapter book more. Like when Clay was playing music with the wires, it just drew musical notes. Come on, dude. The guy who did the graphic novel could've added a thought bubble or SOMETHING.

If you have not read the novel version of this book, this book will be very confusing. Like the part where Clay is making music with the wires. It makes no sense. Also there are a few extremely violent and disturbing scenes like where the Icewing is being melted by Glory. It is a comic version of the book so of course they can not put every detail in it, but I think it would be better for the author if she just stayed with writing the novels.
