Beautifully and extensively researched and written, this is a superb biography of the underrated Rock Hudson, a fine actor whose life in the closet kept his full potential from appreciation. Hudson's range was terrific and he could handle comedy, drama, mystery and musical theater. Among his costars were Doris Day, Carol Burnett, Susan St. James and even John Wayne. This book gives Hudson the respect he truly deserves.
