This movie is a work of art. It won best animated feature at the Golden Globes /and/ best animated picture at the Oscars. People are beginning to study it for how excellently it was put together.
It's a great film even if you don't pay attention to the way it was made. Great story, great pacing, has its own rhythm, great script, great actors, great music, innovative animation combining 2D and 3D animation to achieve what looks like a living comic book film.
What's better than one Spider-Man? Six Spider-Mans (or men or people or creatures, as two are women and one a pig)! I haven't enjoyed a "Spider-Man" movie this much since the "Spider-Man 2." Great, sometimes trippy, animation and great voice cast.
A great comic-book movie that definitely deserved its Oscar win for Best Animated Feature back in March! Looking forward to the sequel!
It was okay, the main character was making me crazy.
I have not read any of the comics these characters are based on, but now I want to. What a fun, innovative concept! I hope adult Marvel fans aren't skipping this one just because it's animated--it's really, really well done and surprising in all the best ways.
It was okay. I think Miles learned how to use his powers too late in the movie. I expected something way better than that, not that it was really bad or anything but it just wasn't as good as some movies. Kingpin's (the main villain) body dimensions really bothered me, as everybody else was as realistic as cartoon animations go but his was just WRONG. I would recommend this movie to anybody just for the sake of, 'it's a spider man movie.' 3.5/5 stars.
not a good movie at all its so bad i cant stand it at all
A great animated feature film from Marvel say it isn't so or it's about time! Either way this is without a doubt ONE of the most important things to come from Marvel in a long time and Adults will love it as well as kids.DEFINITELY a must see!
Spiderman Into the Spider-Verse is an animation filled with thrill, fantastic jokes, daunting situations and enchantment that will surely capture the audience's attention. This is quite different from the other Marvel movies. The central character, Miles Morales, gets bitten by a spider and starts his journey into becoming the next Spiderman. Everyone thinks there has and always will be 1 Spiderman, but they soon come to realize there are many more, each from a different dimension. Spiderman now resembles an idea, not one person. This movie captures different personalities and unique aspects of New York. As soon as it gets dark, the City that Never Sleeps bursts with energy, and you can distinguish the difference between night and day these because of the neon lights, street lamps, walls full of graffiti, as well as all the dark and unnerving alleyways. The movie soundtrack is also another layer of perfection this movie has. From upbeat tunes to a Brooklyn raised, mixed-race kid, the movie pulses and sends off electric feelings of life. This movie is a must see for everyone with a thriving sense of action and love for all things Marvel. @EMBookWorm14 of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
This is an animated movie based on the character Miles Morales. Miles gets bitten by a radioactive spider and gains new spider-like abilities. He soon meets several versions of Spider-Man from different dimensions. All the superheroes work together to fight multiple super-villains, with Wilson Fisk being the primary antagonist. One aspect of the movie that clearly makes it great is the outstanding animation and effects. No wonder the film won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. In addition to that, the characters have unique personalities and their own issues that they deal with, which adds to the complexity of the film. The character arcs are formed well as the superheroes eventually learn to take the leap of faith in order to become someone better. The film has some humour and action, and it’s highly entertaining. Another great thing about it is that it takes a fresh approach to Spider-Man due to its unique concept. I would give it 4.5 stars. @Riveting_Reviews of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
Wow. I heard this was good, but I was really impressed, and I typically already like Marvel movies. This is absolutely in the top three Spider-man movies, and there's a solid argument for it being #1, because it nails EVERYTHING. If you are familiar with Spider-man's comic history, boy are you in for a treat.
If there's any flaw I have, it's that some of the supporting characters are used much more than other ones. Perhaps the movie is better for it, but I would have liked to see one of the outliers be a little more active.
