For two sworn enemies, anything can happen during the Hawaiian trip of a lifetime—maybe even love—in this romantic comedy from the New York Times bestselling authors of Roomies.Olive Torres is used to being the unlucky twin: from inexplicable mishaps to a recent layoff, her life seems to be almost comically jinxed. By contrast, her sister Ami is an eternal champion . . . she even managed to finance her entire wedding by winning a slew of contests. Unfortunately for Olive, the only thing worse than constant bad luck is having to spend the wedding day with the best man (and her nemesis), Ethan Thomas. Olive braces herself for wedding hell, determined to put on a brave face, but when the entire wedding party gets food poisoning, the only people who aren't affected are Olive and Ethan. Suddenly there's a free honeymoon up for grabs, and Olive will be damned if Ethan gets to enjoy paradise solo. Agreeing to a temporary truce, the pair head for Maui. After all, ten days of bliss is worth having to assume the role of loving newlyweds, right? But the weird thing is . . . Olive doesn't mind playing pretend. In fact, the more she pretends to be the luckiest woman alive, the more it feels like she might be. With Christina Lauren's "uniquely hilarious and touching voice" (Entertainment Weekly), The Unhoneymooners is a romance for anyone who has ever felt unlucky in love.

Hate-to-love romances are my new favorite romance subgenre. The banter was excellent, the sexual tension was hot on the page and the characters were equally lovable and infuriating (like real life!). Highly recommend this standalone novel from Christina Lauren.

I enjoyed reading this novel. It was a quick and easy read. While I wouldn't categorize it as thought-provoking, the banter between Olive and Ethan was amusing and the situations in which they found themselves were often funny or touching or both. I preferred this title to some of Christina Lauren's more recent books, but still wouldn't recommend it over their earlier titles. They have a nice way of including the male point of view (although being female, I can't speak to its veracity!) Their books provide a nice escape from day to day life.

I loved this book so much! I fell in love with Olive and Ethan, their dynamic was so fun to read and I enjoyed it so much. It's full of drama and intrigue, and a twist at every turn. This book will keep you turning pages and gasping at what happens next. I would definitely read another book about Ami, Olive, and Ethan. This cast of characters is hilarious and heartwarming.

The Unhoneymooners was a sweet novel with a cute concept. In my opinion, I thought it's most endearing quality was the way the supporting characters were written. The ending was just a bit too easy for my liking, but still a good read.

Fairly standard rom-com type novel, where the conflict arises mainly from misunderstanding and miscommunication. It's fine, and entertaining enough, I read it all on one Sunday afternoon; but I'm definitely going to forget all about it in another 2 weeks.

This was a hilarious read, and I loved it even more that the characters lived in the Twin Cities and I could picture the places they mentioned in my mind. Made it tie in for me.

This was a hoot! I found a new favorite writing team along with believable, hilarious, and sweet contemporary romance. I loved the characters and the hate at first sight build up to head over heels falling in love. Witty dialogue and a good narrator made this super easy and fun to read, perfect to curl up with on a rainy day and imagine Hawaii.
