I thought that this movie was good. It had an interesting storyline, some quirky characters, and an empowering undertone. The characters were all likeable and well-developed, which made their adventure more engaging. At times, however, I found that the plot and resolution was either too predictable or simple. I think that they could have done a better job with the ending of the movie, as I don’t think it was created equal to the development of the first two thirds. I would, however, still recommend this movie! I think that it is a great movie for families to watch together, as there are aspects of interest for everyone! @PenelopeScriptor of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library While watching the 2018 movie, A Wrinkle of Time, you can easily tell that it was adapted from a book. Characters are added with little to no explanation, and there's more world building than actual plot. So what's it about? Basically after the disappearance of her father, Meg Murray struggles to find her way in the world. With the help of her little brother Charles Wallace and classmate Calvin, the trio go on a journey to defeat the universe of the evil "it". Personally, I felt like this movie bit off more than it could chew. At points it just felt too caught up in the CGI to actually take a moment and focus on it's main characters. Though I will say, Chris Pine was definitely a win. 3.5 Stars @Ruby_Tuesday of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board
